How to Make Minecraft Fireworks? Minecraft Fireworks

How do you create fireworks in Minecraft? If you're celebrating with your friends after a successful mining adventure, propelling yourself through the sky while you fly across the sky with Elytra or adding some serious style points to your crossbow fight, Minecraft fireworks are incredibly fun to use. You don't have to worry about your Minecraft pets getting frightened however the sound of fizzing and explosions might remind you of all those terrifying encounters with creepers.

While crafting Minecraft fireworks will not ruin your Minecraft castle, they can cause damage to any creature that crosses them. Use them with reckless abandon - Minecraft is a sandbox game after all! The basic firework rocket isn't something to be proud of, but with the use of fireworks stars and dyes you can create a stunning display to impress everyone on your Minecraft server. The numerous combinations available can create 10.8 duovigintillion possible unique fireworks.

No need to use up resources on experiments; we're here to explain everything required and you can follow our fireworks recipe to make the exploding rockets you've always thought of.

How to craft Minecraft fireworks

You'll need at minimum one piece of paper and a piece of gunpowder in order to create an explosive rocket. To extend the time of flight, you can add two gunpowders. This will determine how high the rocket can fly.

However, if you're looking for the beautiful explosion effects, you'll have to include the firework star. The creation of the firework star is where you can customize the explosion of your firework. Combine gunpowder with up to eight dyes to create a firework star. To create a twinkle effect and/or a trail effect after an explosion, add glowstone dust or a diamond. Both of these effects can be added to the same star.

You can also alter the shape of the firework explosion. A fire charge can create an enormous, spherical blast. A gold nugget will produce a star-shaped explosion. A head of any kind will cause an explosion that is in the shape of an eerie face. A feather can trigger a burst-shaped explosion. Only one of these shape modifiers can be used in a firework star.

After you've made your star You can add a 'fade-to-colour' effect by mixing any dye with it.

How to make a Minecraft firework display

Now that you've been given your fireworks, you might be wondering how to get them going to create the most spectacular display. You can use a firework to create a light show on a block. But if you're looking for precision and allow the fireworks to be fired from a safe distance then you will need to place your fireworks in dispensers. Redstone activates them. They will shoot in the direction in which they're fired, but you can create diagonal trajectory by firing them through water flowing. DigMinecraft is a YouTuber who has created a video tutorial that explains how to create an initial Minecraft fireworks show. Watch the video below.

Using Minecraft fireworks with Elytra

Fireworks are a fantastic way to propel yourself across the sky with Elytra - using one while flying boosts you in the direction you're facing. The amount of gunpowder used for rocket creation will affect the duration of the boost.

Importantly, it is essential to take away the firework star from fireworks designed specifically for this reason. The explosion effects they create can cause serious damage. Ouch. As long as you do not mix your rockets up, you'll be free to happily zoom through the sky, exploring the vast regions of your Minecraft seed. Make sure you've got enough fireworks for your return trip.

This is all you need to get started with creating aerial art using Minecraft fireworks. To make your show even more impressive, take a look at our guide to Minecraft shaders. We also have all the inspiration you need for Minecraft design ideas.
