Light has a direct effect on primary productivity because as there was an increased amount of light penetration into the water, the amount of NPP and GPP increased but when there was a decreased amount of light penetration into the water, it led to a decreased amount of primary production. 0% light intensity is what I would've expected to have little to no net or gross primary productivity. As the graph continues, the lower amounts of light penetration have an average lower amount of primary production than that of higher amounts of light penetration. As turbidity increases, the primary productivity decreases because it decreases the light penetration level because the sediment and sand brought into the pond creates fogginess. Furthermore, the data from this experiment is not completely accurate, as 5 screens should have produced more NPP and GPP than 8 screens. This is a result fo human error.
