Authorities have confirmed that a grenade launcher, loaded with a live grenade, was left with other donated items at a Florida Goodwill store.

The Bradenton Herald reports employees at an Goodwill near Tampa reported the weapon to them on Sunday.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports that the store manager told deputies that the grenade launcher was in a package from a different store several days earlier. The employees from the other store told them they had brought it along because it wasn't certain what it was.
Article content Deputies say they removed of the grenade that was active in a Hazmat locker, and the launcher was kept in the agency's property room.
It is unclear who donated the items.
