Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, raised in a loving family and supported by his parents. He is the father of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. His brother Reverend Ken is the highly regarded pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of world-class gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon follows in her father's example of sharing God's Word with the world. In addition, she is known as CSO as a singer, she is an award-winning, talented gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Today, there are LoveWorld television stations that are available on satellite and cable networks throughout the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. Two Healing Schools are located in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions that allow the manifestation of miracles.

Music and Gospel Music play an integral aspect of worship.
