Chris Oyakhilome Biography - The Man, The Mentor and The Chris Oyakhilome's Teacher

Pastor of the faith, a heaver of faith, TV host, author Chris Oyakhilome. Also known by his followers, Pastor Chris is the founder/president of LoveWorld Incorporated. His unique interpretation of God's Word has inspired millions of people around the world.

Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. God's grace was passed down to her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken, is the esteemed pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of world-class gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon has chosen the way of her father, preaching the Word of God to the world. Also known CSO she is a gospel singer who has won awards and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to pursue studies at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with a BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a minister and serving the Lord.

While still in university, the Man of God established what would eventually be the largest church worldwide. It started with an uninvolved group of believers known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would eventually become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers worldwide.

Under the leadership of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel to be broadcast 24/7 from Africa through free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations all over the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. Two Healing Schools are located in South Africa and Canada. There Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions that permit miraculous healing to occur.

Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of worship. Pastor Chris recommends Christ Embassy Churches that a choir be taught by Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. A lot of these singing talents go on to have great solo careers under the direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is an organization that strives to continue the work of Pastor Chris. It is designed to identify and nurture young, gifted leaders.
