Will Obama Get A Chance To Make Real Change?
As an American, I am ashamed at the Republican Party in particular and some of the populous in general, who have continually attacked Barak Obama. What is the fear? Why is prejudice and racism rearing its ugly head now; at a time when we desperately need someone with a vision, someone with a calm reasoning, someone who is young, vibrant, and able to effectively deal with the many problems facing us as one nation.

My election cycle crush, easily beat her opponent Dan Gelber (and that silly St. Bernard scandal) to become Florida's new Attorney General. I joke about her appearance a lot but she didn't take any breaks and worked as hard as any other state-wide candidate I've seen.

It would be tempting to put Ron Paul as #3, but Bachmann still has game in spite of her recent losing streak. Her broad public support might be limited, but she still has potential to win in Iowa. However, one win does not make a champion. A tough early schedule makes a win in game one possible, but odds do not look favorable that she'll capitalize and carry her support to New Hampshire and other early-voting states.

There is no Democrat who can beat them in the primary and no credible Republican opponents. John McCain has been a George Bush lap dog on any issue of importance and he is such an obviously calculating politician, he probably can't win the Republican primary. By now, sixty percent of the voters can recognize a Republican lie when they hear it and they yearn for Democrat lies, which Hillary will supply in abundance.

Considering only our own personal interests and voting accordingly makes us "egocentric." Here is a hint: that means "selfish!" (for readers of my blog, that corresponds with the "Lawless" level.) It also means we don't have much compassion for anyone outside of ourselves. I contend that the critical mass of this nation has grown beyond this stage of existence. I contend that more people than not have matured to a point where they can consider the needs of others - in life in general as in voting. So let's not just vote according to our own personal interests.

With all the discussion about how to dress like the Presidential or Vice-Presidential candidates, it is worth looking at what those costume choices might actually mean. Halloween suppliers say sales of masks of presidential candidates have predicted the winner in the past several campaigns.
