What to do with Herman Cain? Like Gingrich, he has an image to maintain. He may be setting himself up for a position in the GOP Party apparatus - just not as a candidate. Did we really expect him to be President after the elections next November? He has run a good race, picked up some worthwhile supporters (fair-weather fans?), and would fit in well as visit here -raiser and executive within the Party.

So here we are, about 50 days before the general election and we hear from the McCain campaign that Senator Obama's years as a "community organizer" does not amount to a hill of beans. The insinuation is there; it is a direct and malicious attack on Barak Obama's race.

malaysia election Now the real flaws in the Obama campaign had begun to emerge. Obama was put on the defensive and stayed there. Obama himself began to look desperate as he attacked Sarah; a first in U.S. politics.

Rick Scott is the new Governor of Florida and I know two things. He's got the ability to get the state back on its feet and secondly no one knows what to expect.

So conservatives are faced with a choice. Abandon what they truly believe in and vote for McCain just because he's a republican. Or search for the best candidate for them. I choose the latter.

Curious that Bachmann would find herself in the number 3 spot after being written off by most analysts. It would be tempting to put Ron Paul as #3, but Bachmann still has game in spite of her recent losing streak. Her broad public support might be limited, but she still has potential to win in Iowa. However, one win does not make a champion. A tough early schedule makes a win in game one possible, but odds do not look favorable that she'll capitalize and carry her support to New Hampshire and other early-voting states.

Also in the BCRA was the rule that advertisements paid for by a corporation (including non-profit organizations) could not use a candidates name within 30 days of a primary and 60 days of a general election. In effect the bill limited free speech, throwing out the first amendment and putting set rules on the speech of an organization. Sounds like big government to me.
