Virginia Governor Race Pathetic Politics
Curious that Bachmann would find herself in the number 3 spot after being written off by most analysts. It would be tempting to put Ron Paul as #3, but Bachmann still has game in spite of her recent losing streak. Her broad public support might be limited, but she still has potential to win in Iowa. However, one win does not make a champion. A tough early schedule makes a win in game one possible, but odds do not look favorable that she'll capitalize and carry her support to New Hampshire and other early-voting states.

Rick Scott Wins Florida Governor's Race:: Rick Scott re-wrote the rulebook to Florida Politics. It was awkward but in the end, Florida chose to elect a the businessman who touted his job creating experience. Who built a company from nothing. He knew attacking the President was the route to the Governor's mansion. He ducked Newspaper Op-Ed boards and didn't talk to the media if it wasn't a friendly set up. Billion dollar medical fraud? Yeah, but that was like sooo long ago..

Considering only our own personal interests and voting accordingly makes us "egocentric." Here is a hint: that means "selfish!" (for readers of my blog, that corresponds with the "Lawless" level.) It also means we don't have much compassion for anyone outside of ourselves. I contend that the critical mass of this nation has grown beyond this stage of existence. click here contend that more people than not have matured to a point where they can consider the needs of others - in life in general as in voting. So let's not just vote according to our own personal interests.

The Rise of Rubio- Marco Rubio wins Florida Senate Race: Yea, it was the perfect ending to a great senate race and a milestone in a career full of limitless potential. Marc Rubio easily won and his victory speech was just phenomenal. Let me give you the highlights.

Let's start with campaign reform. You've all heard the phrase "I'm [candidates name] and I approve of this message." During the election season that phrase is more irritating than the fat kid in class who asks way to many questions.

Also in the BCRA was the rule that advertisements paid for by a corporation (including non-profit organizations) could not use a candidates name within 30 days of a primary and 60 days of a general election. In effect the bill limited free speech, throwing out the first amendment and putting set rules on the speech of an organization. Sounds like big government to me.
