About me



Minecraft Console Client (MCC) is a light, cross-platform open-source Minecraft TUI client for Java edition that lets you connect to any Minecraft Java server, send commands and receive text messages in a fast and simple manner without having to open the main Minecraft game.

We are a tiny community therefore we require help in implementing upgrades for new Minecraft versions fixing bugs, and expanding the scope of the project. We are always looking for motivated people to contribute. If you think it could be you, please have a look at the areas of concern :)



How can I contribute?



If you'd like to contribute to Minecraft Console Client, great, just create a fork of the repository and submit a pull request on the Master branch. You can also contribute to the website/online documentation by visiting the repository on the Website.



Translating Minecraft Console Client



If you'd like to translate Minecraft Console Client to a different language, download the translation file from the lang folder, or just fork the repository. When you've completed the translation process make a pull request or forward the file to us via an Issue in case you are not familiar with Git.



You can use the translated file by placing it under lang/mcc/ directory. Then, you can set your language to.ini configuration. You can create the directory if it does not exist.

Unless stated otherwise the source code is from the MCC Team or Contributors, and is licensed under CDDL-1.0. In the source file headers the author's name and the license are also listed. The principal conditions of the CDDL-1.0 license are essentially the following:



- The licensed code may be used in any program you wish regardless of whether the program is fully functional or not (or in the case of borrowing the code). The program may be open source or closed source, commercial or free. In all cases, any modifications or improvements to the CDDL code (any code that is directly referenced in modifications to the CDDL code is considered an addition to the CDDL code, and therefore is bound by this requirement. e.g. A modification to the math function to make use of fast lookup tables is an addition to the CDDL codes. This requirement is applicable regardless of whether the source code file is its own. Any program, binary or source, which makes use of CDDL codes must attribute credit to the source code (either the creator or the project). Also, any modifications to the CDDL code (which must be distributed as source) will not erase notices that indicate the origins of the code.
