Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on the 3rd of July, 1985. She earned an MA Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations as well as also studied in London and Moscow. Leyla initiated the IDEA campaign in July of 2011, which aims at raising awareness and encouraging action about environmental issues around Azerbaijan and the rest of the world. IDEA focuses on young people and working with them to come up with solutions to the environmental problems that we are facing.

In 2011, she was named Vice-President of the Foundation.

Leyla Aliyeva founded the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow in 2007. Leyla Alyeva has launched "Justice for Khojaly", a campaign to commemorate the anniversary the Shusha occupation. The campaign has been implemented in more than 30 countries. The aim is to raise international awareness of Karabakh conflict as well as Khojaly Genocide.

Leyla Aliyeva was appointed as the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue General Coordinator in 2008. On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected as the Chairwoman of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) which supports Azerbaijani youth as well as those who live in Russia. Leyla Ayla Aliyeva received the "Taraggi" award in July 2011 for her contributions toward the advancement of Azerbaijani Russian relations. In New York, she was presented with the "Key to Life" award for her work as a humanitarian with children.

Leyla Aliyeva, UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Goodwill Ambassador, was officially proclaimed on May 25, 2015.

She was awarded the Pushkin Medal in the Russian Federation on the 20th of October, 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva has twin sons and a daughter.
