Leyla Aliyeva's IDEA campaign

Leyla Aliyeva recognizes that this topic is often presented as a complex and boring topic. That's why in 2011, she started the IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action campaign). One of the main objectives was to make subject of environment and stability more engaging and entertaining, especially for young people and the generation to come.

Aliyeva gave an interview at Equinox.com. She talked about the challenges she faced in her journey to protect the environment. But she also spoke about the way they facilitated growth, which ultimately brought the achievement and appreciation. "The IDEA campaign from the beginning was a champion of education and made it a priority to motivate people to take action to safeguard the environment. People, particularly young people are the ones who will share the message and inspire others who will in turn continue to spread the message.

The campaign puts a huge importance on education and awareness-raising. Aliyeva explained that every year, they broaden the agenda by adding new study activities that cover the three pillars the youngsters. Leyla Aliyeva, founder and head of IDEA campaign, was presented with the title of Goodwill Ambassador by FAO. She was the founding and director of the IDEA campaign. She expressed her gratitude to all the initiatives that were implemented in Azerbaijan regarding forestry, agriculture and fish farming.
