If this happens, make sure that other users are able to connect directly to your server. This problem is usually caused by poor port forwarding or a firewall issue. Make sure your network configuration is right.
It is also crucial to set up your server. If you are using the default server.cfg the server will appear in the server list. It's possible that you have removed the # in front of the line that follows in your server.cfg This will cause your server to appear as private, and users won't be able to join it using the server browser (the connect button will be disabled), but they can still access your server.
Please ensure that you add the # at the beginning of each line, as shown in the example. If the # is already in front of the line then follow the steps below.
Verify that the server is accessible
1. Check that your server is running 2. In your browser, go to http://ip:port/info.json (fill in your ip and port) - example http://127.0.0.1:30120/info.json 3. It will display information about your server, including whether it resolves.
You can also try canyouseeme.org. It only works on an Windows server or an Linux machine that has a GUI.
1. Visit canyouseeme.org in your browser. Fill in your server port (default is 30120). Check your port
If the server doesn't appear in the list, make sure that the following variables are set (assuming you used default server.cfg):
sv_projectName sv_projectDesc
The server will show an error upon startup if they aren't set.
Could it see the service?
A server could take up to 8 minutes before it is listed in the list of servers following initial launching, if no other heartbeats are sent. Please be patient. Please be patient. - It is possible that your NAT/gateway is masking UDP ports for source. Here are some guidelines to help you fix this issue for specific firewalls.
Could it not see your service?
There are many issues that could arise. Most likely, it is connected to one or both of these:
The ports you are using are not properly forwarding. If you have a firewall (or AV) that blocks (external) connections.
My server cannot make use of 64, 128, or more than 32 slots
The use of more than 32 slots requires OneSync. OneSync supports 128 slots. OneSync was released to the public in April of 2018 as early access, and made available to all users in June of 2019. However, the support of 32+ slots did not leave early access, yet. Therefore, you'll need an active FiveM Element Club Argentum (or higher) Patreon pledge tier or be part of the OneSync manually granted EAP.
These steps will allow you to play more slots than 32.
1. OneSync access 2. Use the most recent server artifact. Enable OneSync by adding onesync_enabled1 to your server.cfg 4. Set sv_maxclients within your server.cfg to a higher value than 32 5. Restart your server
If you're not seeing the changes in the server list, be patient until the server list updates. The changes will be visible already in Direct Connect.
My server's name does't have any colors.
This could be happening in different cases. Direct Connect may show the server colors, but not the server list. Or , it doesn't show anyhow. There are a few reasons for this to happen.
fivem server list
1. There is no active Patreon pledge with the minimum tier of FiveM Element Club Argentum or higher 2. The server name format was incorrect. Server wasn't saved/restarted 4. Server list cache isn't up to date, be patient
