Minecraft film is'set to hit silver screen'

The block-building game that is hugely popular Minecraft could soon be turned into a movie.
Minecraft creator Markus Persson revealed this week that the game's maker was in talks with Warner Brothers about the project.
Persson claimed that he disclosed the information to stop another trying to expose information about it.
Movie news site Deadline revealed that one of the producers of the Lego Movie is in charge of the project.
Warner was planning to turn a "live action" version of the game into a film according to Deadline.
The film is still in its early stages, as Warner has recently acquired the rights for Minecraft's iconic characters blocks, monsters, and blocks.
The announcement comes less than two weeks after Minecraft creator Mojang took action to end a Kickstarter project that sought to raise money for a film based on the game.
Hollywood has a long history of remaking popular games for film. MINECRAFTSERVERLIST Many projects never get to the production stage.
A film set in the science-fictional Halo universe, for instance has been in development for nearly nine years, but filming has yet to begin despite numerous scripts being written.
Similar films based on Bioshock or Gears of War have been discussed, but no film has yet started shooting.
World of Warcraft is a game that is being made into a film. Filming began in January with Duncan Jones, a British director. The film is scheduled to be released in early 2016.
