Ivry Brumwell's Research on Different Methods of Transitioning
By a transgender guy for quite literally anyone who wants to learn more about transitioning and all the moving parts inside of it.

Before I begin, I would like to offer up a disclaimer of sorts. This written piece is not to be used as medical advice, but instead as an education piece.
Secondly, a great deal of the information I have here has my personal experience as a transgender person put into it. I apologize in advance for any bias that may occur, but I will
also assure you that the presence of bias within this written piece is an indication that I am not a robot, so you can be sure that, at the very least, this piece was written by
a human being who cares. Third, I would like to point out to you that being transgender (in my personal experience!!!) is about recognizing that the gender you were born having assigned
to you is not the gender with which you feel comfortable and finding a gender that makes you feel comfortable. The whole transition thing is completely optional and is entirely about
changing your body to reflect what is inside your mind and your perception of self. Finally, I would like to say that not every transition is a person who was born male transitioning
to reflect the fact that they feel most comfortable as a female and vice versa. A transition can be a person who was assigned female, but feels most comfortable as having no set gender,
or it could be a boy who feels like their gender isn't male or female. A pretty basic rule of thumb to follow for transitions is this: a transition is unique on a person-by-person basis.

Method 1: The Social Switch
The first method is a method I like to call "The Social Switch". I use the term to mean "transitioning in a sense of how one is adressed in a social sense".
There are a few different little parts to this method, the first part being pronouns. Picking what pronouns fit most with how you see yourself is very important, as your pronouns can also
change how other people see you. Some examples of personal pronouns are they / them, he / him, and she her, which are examples of more traditional pronouns. However, as more people
become more comfortable exploring and expressing their gender identity, a second category of pronouns has come up. Known by the term "Neopronouns", these pronouns are anything that aren't
the traditional pronouns I mentioned above. Some examples of more popular neopronouns I have seen used in media include xey / xem, e / em, and ze / hir.
The second little part is the name you have others call you.
