Minecraft's account migration to Microsoft is underway, and some players aren't happy with. Mojang claims that the move will increase security and offer more safety features. However certain accounts have been locked out. This is a required move.
Initially revealed last month, the migration is mainly security focused. For instance, you can utilize two-factor authentication when you make the swap. Some players are upset because you will need to migrate your account to play Minecraft after March 10.
Minecraft content creator Docm77 calls the account migration the "biggest mistake in the history of Minecraft" on Twitter. The reason for this is that if you have more than one account you'll need to create a Microsoft account for each. Minecraft Servers Apparently, this issue then can result in getting your Microsoft account shut down because of a set of terms-of-service rules. This isn't something every Minecraft fan will have to confront however it could be an issue for creators of content or just those who like to play the game. They may need to create additional Microsoft accounts. There are many reports on social media that users are having trouble making the transition.

A lot of us already have the PC application installed, so all it means for most people is that you'll be able to use that to launch the Minecraft Launcher if you want to.
