Minecraft convention firm sorry over Peterborough's complaint-hit event

After parents who were furious criticized the convention on social media, the organizers of the Minecraft convention declared that they were "truly sorry".
However, a lot of people have claimed they waited for hours to meet famous players and demanded refunds.
O'Brien Event Management said a new system to cut down on queues will be implemented in the future.
The unofficial convention, not endorsed by Minecraft-developer Mojang fans had the opportunity to meet famous "Youtubers", take photographs and play games.
Lisa O'Brien of O'Brien Event Management previously stated to the BBC that the queues were 45 minutes long due to the large number of people who showed on the day and did not purchase tickets in advance.
A further statement posted on the company's website said: "We are truly genuinely sorry that the event didn't live up to the expectations of a few guests.

"MineVention" is primarily a "meet and meet and greet" event. This means that there will be some waiting around. However, it also gives children an opportunity to meet their heroes.
"We have taken all your feedback regarding the event into consideration and, going forward we will be putting into a new queueing system and will be adding more content."
Peterborough Arena, responsible for catering, also released an apology for the "sheer quantity" of people who walked through the doors on the day of the event for the long lines.
Both parties agreed to respond to any unhappy parents that had contacted them in due course.
Refunds haven't been discussed, however some parents claimed they received the following day after complaining to the staff.
Online ticketing company YPlan stated that it was "actively seeking information from the event's organizer to understand their stance on refunds , and will attempt to compensate all our customers who were unhappy with this event".
