Minecraft - Introduction To Farming

Farming is an excellent method of acquiring supplies for your Minecraft adventures. Now before you think it's just a matter of "go and grow" like you'll find on popular game apps you might need to think about a few things.



Plant Farming



First, you will need to create the hoe (in survival mode), or locate one on the tools tab. Then, locate an area where you can begin your farm. To begin, right-click on the spot. Mob Farming



Mob farming is more complicated than plant farming. Mob farming is not about cultivating plants but rather "growing" enemies that will automatically die and drop items for you. This sounds horrifying, but in reality the characters "grown" or spawned disappear, leaving behind valuable items such as ender pearls (which can be used to locate portals to the end) bones (which can be used as bonemeal or for training dogs) or string (for bows and arrows).
