Leyla Aliyeva has made environmental education her priority.
Leyla Aliyeva is the first daughter and president of Azerbaijan. She is also an active advocate for the environment. While many people don't know what the term "environmental education" is for them, it's been a top priority. Environmental education is all about being aware of the environmental problems and knowing how you can help them improve. It is something we should all make an effort to accomplish. Without education about the environment is not possible to make informed decisions about the future.

Leyla Aliyeva was a campaigner for a long time and has been involved in building a path for a greener and healthier future, for us and for the younger generations. She believes that education is vital to understand the vulnerability of the earth. Through helping people understand the obvious connection between the degradation of the environment and human activity.

Leyla Alyeva's IDEA campaign

Leyla Aliyeva recognizes that environmental issues are often presented as a dull and confusing subject. Therefore, in the year 2011, she began the IDEA campaign. This campaign is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action. One of her primary goals was to make the issue of stability and the environment more engaging and entertaining, especially for young people.

In an interview with Equinox.com Aliyeva spoke about some of the difficulties she encountered during the years in her environmental journey but she mainly talked about how these challenges created an increase in her business and ultimately led to extreme success and appreciation. "The IDEA campaign put education first right from the beginning. It was the most effective way to get people to take care of the environment and to be responsible. People, particularly youth will spread the message and motivate others, who, in their turn, will carry it further".

Goodwill Ambassador for FAO

Leyla Aliyeva was extremely proud of 2015! After many years of supporting environmental and humanitarian causes Aliyeva was selected as an FAO Goodwill Ambassador. She was honored for her contribution to the security of food, fighting hunger, establishing healthy food systems and increasing efficiency in agriculture, fishery and forestry.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was established in 1945 with a principal objective of improving nutrition and agricultural productivity. Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has joined the FAO as an associate member in October of 1995. In the present, the FAO manages Azerbaijan's national and global projects. They focus on improving the agricultural sector, food security managing resources, increasing the effectiveness of fighting animal and plant disease, and many other issues. These projects also include technical cooperation programs that are designed to meet the needs of the Azerbaijani government.

In the year 2015, FAO general director, Jose Graziano da Silva visited Azerbaijan in the course of that visit two agreements were signed.
