Jim Jordan Backs Trump on his Reaction to Durham's Findings

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan stated that Donald Trump was 'right on the mark' when he suggested that Hillary Clinton's operatives should be put to death after the former president accused her campaign of treason.



Trump unleashed a furious rant against Clinton Saturday , after John Durham, the special counsel, claimed that her team was attempting to spy on White House servers to discover connections to Russia to try to discredit him.



The one-term president claimed Durham’s report was more extensive than Watergate, and suggested that everyone involved be prosecuted and, most likely, executed.



"In a longer period of time in our country the crime would have been a crime punishable by death,' he added.



On Sunday, Jordan appeared on Fox & Friends where said backed Trump's assertion.



'We've never seen anything like this before in history,' Jordan said. "So President Trump's announcement yesterday, i think, is on target. This is truly extraordinary, and truly something that has never occurred in the history of this great country.



Jordan added that the'spying was worse than we] thought.'

In the last week, CNN revealed that the committee investigating the January 6th, 2021, attack had obtained phone records that showed Trump was in contact with Jordan that day. Above: Trump (right) and Rep Jordan (left), during a rally in 2018.



CNN reported last week that call logs indicating Trump speaking with Jordan for up to 10 minutes on the morning following the insurrection on January 6, 2021, were obtained by the committee that was investigating the attack.



After Jordan refused to be interviewed The committee is currently contemplating whether to subpoena Jordan.



"I spoke with the President a number of times that day but I can't recall the exact dates when,' Jordan told CNN.



The call logs are among other official documents that were handed over to the House committee following the Supreme Court ruled against Trump's appeal to keep them confidential.

"President Trump was right. Remember in 2017, when President Trump said they [Democrats] were spying on me and all the press and all the Democrats said no, they weren't and then in 2019, then-Attorney-General Bill Barr said spying took place...' Jordan told Fox & Friends hosts on Sunday.



"Well, now we know for sure...Yes there was spying taking place and it was much more than we thought because they were spying on the incumbent President of the United States.'



"We are aware that John Durham is going back to the beginning...It's all about the lies that began in 2016 when they started all this concerted effort for an Presidential campaign. Jordan said that this is what is so scary here.



On Saturday, Trump ranted that Team Clinton's actions could had merited the punishment of execution.



The Durham filings revealed that Hillary Clinton's campaign had paid money to a tech company to "mine data" from servers at Trump Tower and later the White House, they spoke.
