To ensure that we can concentrate our resources on those platforms where the largest number of Crafters are playing, we are ending support for certain older devices and platforms where Minecraft is available. Effective in October 2020, Minecraft will no longer be updated or supported on Gear VR, Windows 10 Mobile, Android devices with less than 768MB of RAM, iOS devices running iOS 10 or less, or video cards that support DirectX 10.1 or lower.
This will stop current Gear VR and Windows 10 Mobile players from playing multiplayer or Realms on devices that aren't supported.
Players with affected Android or iOS devices with a Realms subscription, will be able access their Realm on affected devices until they choose to update it on a different device. Multiplayer is only compatible with devices that are running the same version.
You'll be able to play Minecraft on any of these devices following October 2020. MINECRAFT JAVA You will be able to continue building your world, and your Marketplace purchases (including Minecoins) will continue to be available. If you've signed in using a Microsoft/Xbox Live account then your Marketplace purchases, Minecoins, and your Realms subscription will be accessible on other platforms. If you want to transfer your worlds from this device to another device you can do this by uploading the world to a Realm and downloading a backup onto your new device. You can also transfer your world files from the device by following these steps.
