Are you a Novice or Not?

About This Quiz Described by The New Yorker as a cross between Minecraft and the Hunger Games, this video game is extremely popular with kids, tweens, teens and beyond. The epic battle game has attracted more than 200 million players in the period it was available. Of those, 78.3 million are active players. Not sure about that significance? If you're a gamer consider how many games are covered in dust.

It's not just the kids playing in their parents' basements. Many athletes and celebrities are obsessed with the sport. Drake was one of the first to break the record for non-tournament Twitch viewers breaking it with Ninja. Ninja had 635,000 concurrent viewers at peak time on their live streaming stream. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, Los Angeles Lakers basketball superstar Josh Hart and many pro baseball players are well-known regular participants in the worldwide phenomenon. Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron even incorporates the game into a touchdown celebration dance.

Fortnite is not all sunshine and roses. Fortnite has been criticised for its use of popular dance moves and is currently suing to determine whether copyright laws have been infringed. Fortnite has become so popular (or out of control depending on your viewpoint) that parents are hiring coaches to help their children succeed in the virtual world. What are you coping with this massive phenomenon? This quiz will help you find out what Fortnite is all about.

Nothing, it's completely free

One of the great things about Fortnite Battle Royale is that it's completely free to download to whatever gaming system you're using. Purchases can be made in the game for V-Bucks, which can be used to purchase skins, pickaxes or gliders, battle passes, and more. Minecraft Servers Fortnite Save the World, the latest version of the game is available. Players are required to purchase it. However, the creator Epic Games says it'll become free to play in the year 2018.

shopping cart

It's true, a standard shopping trolley is a vehicle in Fortnite terms. The only other current vehicle is the golf cart. Why is this? Epic Games expressed concern about how adding more vehicles to the game could affect the overall flow.

Season 4 saw the destruction of Dusty Depot by an enormous meteor, effectively creating Dusty Divot. The game's locations use alliteration for their names like Loot Lake, Greasy Grove and so on.

50 Vs 50

Playground

LTM modes are only available for certain time periods, determined by Epic Games. Playground mode lets four players to practice the skills they will use in the game. Playground mode allows players to be killed, but they can respawn immediately, unlike regular game modes.

These pinatas are also referred to as "loot-llamas" and appear automatically during the game (only three locations in Battle Royale and 100 in Playground mode). They have 200 different materials from all resources like wood, brick, and even metal. They also have explosives, potions and other useful items.

All of Fortnite's many weapons are classified according to how rare they are in the game, and come with a descriptive title. They are listed in order of least to most rare: Gray/Common (green/uncommon) Blue/rare, Purple/Epic , and Gold/Legendary.

The game is known as "dance emotes" within the game, players can opt to dance anytime on the battlefield or lobby. In addition to "Fresh," which is based off "The Carlton" Players can also opt to perform choreography such as "The Worm,"" Take the L" or "Disco Fever," which are all based off John Travolta’s famous "Saturday Night Fever” moves.

Katy Perry

Alfonso Ribeiro

The backpack kid

If you haven't seen anyone floss, it is likely that your eyes haven't been open. The dance was invented by a teenage YouTube sensation in the year 2016, just before Fortnite was launched. He was dubbed "the backpack boy" and later, he performed the mysterious dance on Saturday Night Live with Katy Perry. Fortnite added the dance to its dance emotes, and it made quite an impact.
