Minecraft Gets PlayStation VR Support

Cristina: Did you encounter some funny or bizarre situations while playing VR in Minecraft?

Damian: Does Covid-19 count as a controlled substance? The whole team had to make the transition to working remotely in March. But, it was not difficult at all. It allowed us to all with a lot of work to concentrate on. As things became more difficult and concerning for everyone, this was an element of normalcy in a rapidly changing and complicated environment.

Rog: This is not surprising however, VR makes experiences more real. Things like gravel falling down on you seem so real, you leap out of the way (and fall over).

Cristina: What's your favorite thing to do during the game?

Damian: I really enjoy flying. The 3D elytra gives you a sense freedom. It's also enjoyable to fly in the sky and look down at the world.

Rog: He does really like flying! I think it just amplifies the experiences that I'm already a fan of. Cave exploration is more engaging than ever. Who wants to sleep? !

Cristina Says: In the context of scary environments, which of the mobs do you think is the most frightening in VR?

Damian: Calling me old-school, but I find unexpectedly encountering Creepers to be terrifying. Add VR and a dark cave to the equation and hearing that 'hiss' of a nearby Creeper is enough to cause you to leap out of your skin.

Rog: Yes, those things... Creepers !!!! It's quite a shock to hear an arrow pass through your body, even though you've not seen the nearby skeleton(s).

Cristina: Which biomes do you think are the coolest?

Damian David: Swimming underwater in VR mode is a great way to experience the excitement of it all. A warm ocean biome would be my favorite. Being able to swim with dolphins, or diving into the wreck of a ship is great fun. It's like going on holiday, but without all the sand sticking in your suncream.

Rog: Jungle! Massive trees, parrots flying around and pigs wandering around the branches, it's a fantastic experience in VR!

This sounds like the perfect getaway! Rog and Damian are special thanks for showing me how Minecraft in VR is more fun than I could ever imagine. However, I am astonished by the lack of amazing sights around me. It is time to see if I can scale VR without falling.
