Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian, born on December 63 in Edo State. He was nurtured by his parents who were devoted to him. He is the son of the elder of Elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies, of God's Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of the Oyakhilome clan, who instilled her faith in God's grace to her son very early.

The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where He earned a BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He has an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he felt God called him to be a minister to the Lord.

He had a small prayer group called "Youth for Christ," which later grew into one of the largest organization of its kind on campus.
