As most of us here at Mojang Studios are busy screaming our exuberant lungs out with joy, our Chief Creative Officer Jens 'Jeb' Bergensten offered a few words on this amazing, yet surreal momentous event.
"Bringing Minecraft to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the result of an incredible collaboration with Nintendo" said Jeb. "As fans of the series and avid players at our studios, we couldn't be more excited to see Minecraft join the already legendary lineup of characters."
You must be asking many questions What date will the DLC coming out? How efficient is Mario at smashing Minecraft blocks? What do you think Steve taste like according to Kirby? And who does Jeb most like? All your questions will soon be answered, and you'll be glad to know that. All you need to do is listen to "Mr. Sakurai Presents Steve and Alex" on Saturday, April 7th at 7:30 AM PT/ 10:30 AM ET / 4:30 PM CET, followed by Minecraft Live, our live celebration of all things Minecraft that starts at 8:30 AM PT/ 11:30 AM ET 5:45 PM CET. It's only two days, and you don't want to be missing it.
