MIAMI (CBSMiami) The conflict in Ukraine might be on the other side of the globe however South Floridians are one of the groups helping those who are leaving the country.
Many members of the Sunny Isles Jewish communities are currently raising funds and helping to coordinate a global humanitarian effort.
Emmanuil Grinshpun Marsha Jaquays, Florida Friends of Laniado Hospital said that 1,100 people came just last night.

Jaquays said that Moldova's Jewish community actually assisted people cross the border, and then providing food, shelter, clothing, and clothing.
