Minecraft 1.18 is now available worldwide. You can get it downloaded and play right now.

Release Date Confirmed
We now finally know that Minecraft Caves and Cliffs part 2 will launch on November 30, later this month.
You have less than two weeks to finish everything and download it on time.

Minecraft 1.18 Release Date
We've had a few good predictions until now. Finally, we know it will arrive on November 30th.
The team has been sharing tons of new images to test their ideas. If all goes as planned and no major issues do pop up, the team should be well on time. This means we can expect an update to be out between November and December of this year.
Release Time
As with the release date, we don't know a release time yet but we have a pretty reasonable estimate. Caves and Cliffs Part 1 was updated at 1pm ET/ 6pm BST Tuesday, June 8th.
We can expect something similar for the second part.
What's the point?
Minecraft 1.18 is based around caves and cliffs. Part one was about laying the foundations. This is part two. We should expect to see huge changes to the ways structures are constructed and caves should be much larger with new biomes and areas to explore.
There's even an ominous creature called the warden in a new biome named the deep dark. Here are a few images of the work of the team.
What are Snapshots?
Snapshots let the team test new features on a portion of the playerbase. It essentially treats players like bug testers, getting players to report any issues and assist the team in building an even better game.
