The Professional Gambler
Let me start by explaining who this article is about. The Professional Gambler isn't the flamboyant player you see making a lot of noise and drawing attention to himself. The professional gambler does not place bets that are high-roller. The true professional is an eloquent, serious and silent player. Professional gamblers know that gambling is an enterprise. There is no way of determining how long it will take to either be successful enough (or lose enough), but the pro will be aware when one of those limits has been attained and will have the discipline to recognize it and take action accordingly.

There are free games to play now when you may have played with the professional. Most likely, you will not be able to recall the experience. There's nothing that can draw attention to the professional player except for the fact that he is ahead only to quit! He or she is not happy to play and keeps moving because they're "out for the night" of gambling. If professional gamblers wish to be entertained go to an event or movie. Gambling is not an "activity" as many tourists view it. You go to Vegas or Atlantic City and you gamble all the night. This is what a recreational gambler will do. They find it very easy to rationalize...something like this; "Well I played all night and it only cost me $200. That is not so bad for an evening of entertainment and no cost drinks." It's called the tourist mindset. Sure, you'll hear stories of how someone was in Vegas and won millions. It's true. It is possible. But, you'll probably hear the familiar tale which says:
"I was up to three or four hundred dollars, but I lost everything back." Professionals will never make such a claim. If someone is gambling for a profit they will see that 3-4 hundred dollars is a healthy profit and will soon be gone.

Professional gamblers are known as guerrilla fighters. They're not here to race. Professionals are playing to make a profit. It doesn't take long to be a winner or loser, and certainly not everyday. There is a chance that a player will be able to catch a winning streak but the pros will be aware of the streak and keep riding through to the conclusion. In the majority of cases, however, the pro's play will only last long enough to make profits or lose the most. When a professional wins big the odds are not that the casino would get that winnings again. The professional is way more intelligent than the casino a chance.

As far as systems go professionals are more knowledgeable than to believe that there's a system that can consistently beat the casinos regardless of which game you're playing. Instead the professional gambler will employ proven strategies and betting methods to improve their odds of winning. Only playing video games will be made during the course of the game. Most of the decisions of pros are made before they approach the game. Professionals stick to their existing methods and betting strategies. It is unlikely to see the pros "chase his money." A pro can, and will, accept the occasional loss. It happens. It happens. There will be visit url where you earn little or none at all, and may lose money when travel expenses are included. The professional gambler learns to view the whole of his game. It is not "how much did I win or lose today?" instead, it is more of, "how much am I ahead of the rest of the year or month?"

I'd like to add a word here about professional poker players. They are a class in their own! In fact, some poker players do not consider themselves as gamblers. They believe that poker is an art which requires skill, and they're extremely competent. All that I have written above does not really apply to the professional poker player. I will probably, in the coming months, write an article on them. A very interesting breed, indeed!
