How to use A Minecraft Blast Furnace

Minecraft Blast Furnace Everything you need to know.

Looking for a way to make use of a Minecraft Blast Furnace? This block-based forge allows you to smelt every kind of junk. However, unlike the normal furnace, this one is two times faster and allows you to break down objects and/or create new materials for crafting. It can't smelt gold, iron, or chainmail. It's necessary to roast your chickens elsewhere.

Blast Furnaces are extremely useful for mining large amounts of ore or regularly need to break down items into their respective materials. If you have spare materials, why not create an item that will do the job more quickly than your regular furnace?

This Minecraft Blast Furnace guide will show you how to build it and use it to melt those extra materials.

How to make a Minecraft Blast furnace

The Blast Furnace can be made fairly easily provided you have all the necessary ingredients. Even then it's not difficult to find the ingredients. You'll require one Furnace and five Iron Ingots.

You can build a standard furnace using eight pieces of Cobblestone. This is fairly common. If you're having trouble finding the correct piece it is possible to dig down a bit to find it in the shortest time possible.

To obtain the Smooth Stone to get the Smooth Stone, you have to cook Cobblestone twice. The first time, it transforms into Stone and then Smooth Stone the second time.

The most difficult ingredient you'll need is the Iron Ingots. The difficulty in acquiring iron ore will be attributed to how lucky you are in your life and terrain. You can often see Iron Ore in shallow caves, though in some cases you might have to dig a bit deeper to locate some. Once you have found the ore, it is possible to smelt it into Iron Ingots. If you happen to find treasure chests, you may also be able to create one by mixing nine Iron Nuggets. However, this will take more effort than it's worth.

How do you use a Minecraft Blast Furnace

Using the Blast Furnace is essentially the same as using a regular furnace. Simply add fuel to the bottom left section, and follow it up with the smeltable option in the top-left section. Remember, Blast Furnaces can only melt things. But, they can do it at twice as fast, but it also consumes twice as much fuel. But, can you really quantify the time you'll save?

The Blast Furnace is able to melt ore blocks and turn them into ingots. However, they can also be used to melt weapons, tools and armour. All other items must be processed through a normal furnace.
