Technoblade's signature crowned pig is now an official part of the game that he loved.
Technoblade's passing Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade (opens in a new tab) last week after a year-long battle with cancer has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fellow streamers and Minecraft creators of content. Then, Minecraft studio Mojang also paid tribute to Technoblade by making a subtle, but significant modification to the Minecraft Java Edition loading screen.
Mojang tweeted its own tribute to Technoblade on July 1 the day his death was first announced.
We have been trying to find the words, but all of us here at Minecraft are grieving over the loss of Technoblade. Technoblade was a wonderful friend and brought joy to our community. He will be deeply missed. July 1 2022
"We have been trying to find the words, but all of us here at Minecraft are devastated by the loss of Technoblade," the studio stated. "He meant so much to our community and brought us so many joy to everyone. He will be missed deeply."

Soon after, Minecraft fans began noticing an even more distinctive and long-lasting tribute to Technoblade on the Minecraft Java Edition loading page The pig that was previously uninteresting in the background of the scene is now wearing a crown which is a subtle, but distinctive tribute to Technoblade's famous crown character and YouTube (opens in new tab) icon.
Although it's not clear if the change will last at this time I'm sure it will be. The Minecraft community is extremely pleased with the change: The tweet about the change from Techno Updates Techno Updates account has so far attracted more than 237,000 people to like it.
