Belgian Boy on the Verge of becoming World's Youngest University Graduate

Article content With an average IQ of 145, this Belgian boy wonder is on track to become the world's youngest university graduate when he completes a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Eindhoven's University of Technology next month.

The youngest person in the world to earn a college degree is American Michael Kearney, who made the record in June 1994 at the age of 10 years and 4 months according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

When Laurent isn't at the university, Laurent says he walks the dog, plays video games Minecraft and Fortnite or posts pictures on Instagram.



Influenced by the Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla, he plans to study artificial organs and eventually create an artificial body in his laboratory. He said that his grandparents were heart patients.



Offers are pouring in from universities across the world , and Laurent's parents are helping him weigh the possibilities and the U.S. west coast currently an option for him.



Alexander his father cannot predict Laurent's fate , as Laurent has exceeded expectations thus far, but he stressed that there was no need to hurry.
