İki sayınında işareti aynı ise iki sayı toplanır ve ortak işaret konur.
(+10)+(+8)=(+18) (-10)+(-8)=(-18)

Sayıların işaretleri farklı ise iki sayı çıkartılır ve sonuca en büyük sayının işareti konur.
(+10)+(-5)=(+5) (-10)+(+5)=(-5)
*en büyük sayı 10 o yüzden sonuç 10 rakamının işareti oldu.
*sayıların işaretleri farklı o yüzden çıkartma işlemi yapıldı.

İlk sayı olduğu gibi kalır ortadaki (-) işareti (+) olur.
ikinci sayının işareti değişir.
(+10)-(+5)=(+5)
*ortadaki (-) işareti (+) oldu.

İşlem (+10)+(-5) oldu. Bundan sonra toplama işlemindeki kurallar uygulanır.

Bu kurallardan ayrı hiçbir kural yoktur iki sayı normal bir şekilde çarpılır.

Çarpma işlemindeki kurallar uygulanır. Tek farkı çarpmada iki sayı çarpılırken bölmede bölünür.
(+10):(+5)=(+2) (-10):(-5)=(+2)

sonuç: (-10) + (+3)=(-7)
2. İki basamaklı en büyük negatif tam sayı ile bir basamaklı en küçük negatif tam sayının toplamı kaçtır?
İki basamaklı en büyük negatif tam sayı: -10
Bir basamaklı en küçük negatif tam sayı: -9
sonuç: (-10)+(-9)=(-19)
