Boy, 7 Years Old, Spends $1200 Online on Apple Games

A mother-of-two has accused Apple of 'enabling' children to spend money online after her son of seven was able to rack up a four-figure bill for games.



Abi Smith received a series of emails confirming that her son Harry had made more than 60 purchases in-app totalling PS1,218 without her permission.

Apple has since confirmed it will refund Ms Smith the money.

Apple declined to comment but pointed to its 'Ask to Buy' feature which sends an inquiry to a family member every time an infant attempts to make a purchase.
