Emmanuel Grinshpun. The restoration of synagogues as well as the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress
Emmanuil Grishhpun talked about the restoration and maintenance of synagogues. However, it wasn't possible to stay focused on just one issue. There were numerous other subjects covered in the interview.
Emmanuel, good afternoon. I am glad to have the opportunity to talk to you. We have not seen each other in five years. Do you currently reside in?

The nine months that passed between Miami and Jurmala were divided. The geography was far larger before, however the pandemic has impacted the living style. It is hard to say if this is in the best way.

You've always been in the business of several lines of business. What do you do now?

Diversification isn't going anywhere. If we talk about the most important areas, then this includes the growth of real estate, IT technologies and food production.

ALIMCOM is an expert in the field of food and real estate is more easily understood. IT, however, is totally new to me. There are millions of possibilities for the use of IT technology. What are your specialties?

Our IT-holding is focused on reforming the tax systems of various nations. We have created and continue to create products that facilitate the transfer of many business processes connected to online taxation. This is known as the B2G (Business To Government) acronym.

What happens to the territories in which the holding is operating? The former USSR countries

There are other contracts, but we have more contracts in Western as well as Eastern Europe and in Latin America. We currently operate across 14 countries.

Do we have a brief description of the basic idea or product?

We are ready to launch the product in Moldova. The Moldovan economy will benefit from this automation. In any case, it is unstoppable. You mentioned that you'd been tossing around between Miami and Jurmala all year. The Baltics is the home of the headquarters of an IT company.

No. My family's history has been tied to Moldova for a number of generations. Эммануил Гриншпун If we continue to use our historical names, then it is associated with Bessarabia. Jurmala was a name that came into our lives on a whim and was not a very professional. When Igor Krutoy invited me to the New Wave in Miami, it was the first time that we could get there. After a few competitions, they started to return each season. Miami has a very hot summer. We rented a home for several decades and we have it now.

Now I understand the reason my donation was made to restore one of the synagogues located in Jurmala. Emmanuel, honest question. We're almost the same age. We were born in the USSR. It was not necessary to discuss religiosity then, we were all pioneers and Komsomol members. What was the moment you began to turn to religion?

My family and I came into America around the middle of the 80s. I learned about customs and rituals there. While I don't adhere to the orthodox doctrine I am aware of a profound need to help the religion of the Jewish communities of my country of birth or Moldova. I was born in Moldova and have continued close ties with them.

Эммануил Гриншпун Although I'm not a religious person I am a huge fan of history. Recently I was watching a show that focused on events in 1492 which changed Europe's fate. 1492 is my favorite year Columbus was the first to discover America. But, I saw clearly in the program it was mentioned in the discovery of America in 1492 from Medieval Europe was not as striking as the Spanish monarchs expulsion of Jews of Spain. The exodus of Jews began to the Ottoman Empire, it accepted them. I was looking to learn something about the story of the Jews as a group. Would you recommend any book?

There are a lot of books. But I've read all of them and I would recommend Max Diamond, the two-volume Jewish historian. Max Diamond is from Finland and is, in fact, from Finland.

.... Do we have a family tree of our own? Unfortunately, I don't have anything beyond my grandmother's name and 1910. I am only one step ahead of the paternal side but not much more.

On the paternal line, our family was in the Floresti region for a number of hundred years. Эммануил Гриншпун There are monuments and evidence which show that they were rich by 1830. Ungheni was also home to my maternal ancestors. I'm referring to dates in the region from the 17th-18th century. Grinshpun has an German surname, which means we are Ashkenazis from Eastern Europe.

The question now is about the restoration of synagogues. I heard that you have provided funding for three synagogues' reconstruction. Эммануил Гриншпун One is located in Chisinau, one is located in Jurmala, and the third?

The third, and the largest, is Netanya located in Israel. It is a large community center, where 1000 people pray each day. It is a major symbol of Israel's religious culture. The second synagogue in Jurmala. The Second World War ended the existence of the town's sole synagogue. Before I made the decision to build a synagogue I had spoken with several local Jews. I then made the decision to finance its construction and invite a Rabbi to visit it. It proved to be an excellent success and also brought together all the Jews of Jurmala. In fact, we re-created the Jewish community. It is now working successfully. The synagogue is now home to three Torahs I donated one of them to the synagogue.

Yes. I've already collaborated with my partners with two of them - Alexander Bilinkis and Alexander Weinstein. They aren't the only ones that I am involved in restoration or construction. In every country I have been a resident for a while, it was my responsibility and obligation to make an important contribution to the support or synagogues. My contribution is currently being made in Monaco, where a large community centre that caters to Russian-speaking Jews is currently being constructed. It is believed that it will cost approximately 12 million dollars. I'm not stopping supporting Chisinau - it will now be the largest synagoguein the world, the synagogue of Rabbi Tsirelson.

Did Jurmala get you to Chisinau with a Rabbi?

Yes. It can be difficult to find the perfect rabbi within the community. Due to the many interconnected issues, he has to be non-conflictual and diplomatic. He must be able to organically join the community. And it is a great thing that both the Jurmala and Chisinau rabbis were able be so seamlessly integrated into the community.

In the year 2019 you were named vice-president of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. What does this post mean to YOU What is the role of international Jewish organizations influence the global landscape?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is a powerful political organization in the post-Soviet space and not just. It has offices in Eastern Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. In 2010, I was Vice President of Congress. However, in the year prior to that, I was elevated to First Vice President. I am now responsible for the regions in which I've been able to establish strong political and business relations. These are Uzbekistan Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. If you look at developments across the globe and the barometer of attitudes towards Jews remains the same or has declined in a very negative way, which is incredibly regrettable. "Down" is also used to describe countries such the United States, France or Germany. They are not safe anymore to Jews. These are worrying and very important procedures.

By the way Has the pandemic had an impact on the processes?

This isn't my opinion. In fact, in the context of the pandemic I'd like to emphasize the things that a nation and society can achieve when they're ready for any challenges, and work in tandem.

What do you mean by HTML0? to?

Exactly. Israel is the first nation to offer 100 percent vaccination to its entire adult population. I think this is an excellent example and a lesson which other countries can learn from.
