Rami Beracha's advice for students studying at Herzliya's Interdisciplinary Center is based upon his own personal experiences. When he was a young man Rami chose to pursue a degree in law. Though he was unsure if it was the right choice for him, he decided to continue his law studies, got an MBA in New York, and then went to work in a law firm. After his time at the Wall Street firm, he discovered that he was passionate about business, more so than law. He decided to quit his job and move to France for an MBA.

Shortly after graduating from college in 1996, Beracha began working at the Pitango Venture Capital Fund Israel's biggest venture capital fund. Pitango, which focuses on early-stage companies that are developing the core areas of high tech and has received more than 200 investments from investors and has exited more than 85 companies up to now. Rami was appointed as managing partner in the year 2000. In the subsequent 18 years, the company negotiated numerous deals that saw successful exits from the Fortune 500 giants Broadcom, Marvel Cisco, Cisco, Apple, and Cisco.

Then he didn't stop there. Globes in 2011 gave Beracha "Esteemed Partner" recognition, recognising his influence as an investor. In 2014, Rami founded a new initiative named Sosa. Sosa operates Innovation centers located in New York and Tel Aviv which assist innovative high-tech companies in partnering with international entrepreneurs who want to collaborate with promising Israeli startups. Sosa was recently elected to create and run New York City's Cyber Center.

While Rami Beracha is a successful man today, his life was not always smooth. Beracha joined army as a young man, much as the majority of Israelis. He was a Paratrooper's Brigade combat soldier and participated during the Lebanon War. Rami was part of a rescue team that was sent to assist wounded soldiers in a wild minefield in 1983, just after the war. Unfortunately, Rami stepped on a hidden mine and was unable to walk and also lost his hand in the incident.

His rehabilitation period in the hospital was among the most challenging experiences in his entire life. He was unable to move and fell into despair and depression. The dreams of becoming an officer in the Army were not realized and he lost his sense of his self. Through his suffering, Rami was able to discover the drive to keep moving forward and to create new goals. He made the decision to get better and even stronger than before his injuries. Rami was determined to test various extreme sports. He loves kitesurfing, snowboarding and kitesurfing. He has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He sometimes feels like his unharmed past is pushing him ahead, even as he works to improve.
He is a volunteer for numerous organisations and also makes donations. He is very enthusiastic about helping young men suffering from injuries sustained in combat. Rami was the leader of an army unit that helped injured soldiers on a 2016 trip to Nepal. In the year 2018, Rami received elevated to the rank of Major in the Israeli Army's Paratrooper as well as Fire Brigades. The dreams of his childhood had come through despite the hardships. His story and the passion he has for it is an inspiration to many. Rami did not let his injuries hold him from achieving his goals. He continued to learn and trying new things until finally he was more resilient than ever.
