How to make an Iron Golem in Minecraft and what they're used for

Create a Minecraft Iron Golem to defend the village and its inhabitants from any threats. These mean-looking guards can protect the buildings and villagers from hostile creatures in Minecraft (opens new tab), such as zombies, skeletons, or raids by villagers. Unlike pretty much every other mob in Minecraft Iron Golems are able to be made, but they also naturally appear in villages. If you've found a village without protection that is an Minecraft Iron Golem, here's the information you must know about creating them and how they work.



How do you create an Iron Golem in Minecraft



To make a Minecraft Iron Golem, you do not require a Crafting Table like you would to create most items in the game. Instead, you will have to arrange blocks in a certain order.



The components you require to make an Iron Golem are four Iron Blocks (each one is made up of nine Iron Ingots placed on a Crafting Table) and one Pumpkin - in Java Edition, it must be a Carved Pumpkin or a Jack O'Lantern, but in Bedrock Edition, it can be a regular pumpkin. To make it appear like a scarecrow made of iron, put the Iron Blocks in a T shape and then put the Pumpkin in the middle. It's All About Ed Use the image above as reference!



As as long as there aren't connecting blocks on either side (other than the floor it's standing on, of course) The placement of the Pumpkin last should cause an Iron Golem to spawn. As long as you have the necessary materials you'll be able to repeat this for as many times as you like to create your own personal army.

Iron Golems are sworn to protect players and villagers, provided you don't attack them. They're considered neutral mobs. Unlike animals like pigs, cows and other similar animals iron Golems will not leave you alone but will attack you if you attempt to attack them.



If an Iron Golem is created inside the village it will then slowly move around, patrolling the area. If it's not located in a village, it will gradually move towards the nearest one, possibly fighting hostile mobs in the process.
