Technoblade, Minecraft YouTuber Watched by Millions Dead At 23

In just under 10 years, Technoblade amassed nearly 11 million YouTube subscribers and 3.7 million Twitter followers after he announced his love for Minecraft, a videogame where gamers can create virtual worlds from blocks and come up with their own stories. Technoblade made public the diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He told his followers in a video of himself playing the game that he sought medical assistance after feeling discomfort in his arm, which he initially believed was the result of repetitive stress injuries from playing.



Technoblade's father said that Technoblade sent his final message eight hours before his death. He was crying, but Technoblade's father described his son as "the most incredible child" anyone could ask for, and added: "I miss Technoblade."



Technoblade's father broke this sad news to viewers on his channel.



The video was watched more than 19 million times, closed with an announcement from Technoblade's family which reads: "This past year had many rough patches for our son as he battled cancer of the stage four. https://iqbalir.com/ He was never complaining and continued to make use of his shrewd mind to beat what he believed was almost impossible odds. My son's bravery in this situation was a shining lesson to all of us who were fortunate enough to walk it with him. Thank you for sharing the journey he took, as he did the work he loved to do for his beloved fans."



Social media has been flooded with tributes from celebrities, fans and fellow gamers.



YouTuber Ted Nivison recalled him as "Effortlessly hilarious." Amazingly talented. Too soon. Rest at ease, Technoblade."



TommyInnit TommyInnit, another YouTube star, wrote on Twitter: "Technoblade, a legendary figure. From being a massive fan, to one of his closest friends, I can't describe how grateful I am to have had the privilege of being in his life. I just know he's strategizing in heaven on how to defeat God."



Sarcoma Foundation of America sent a statement to CNN in which it paid tribute to Technoblade and offering condolences to his family.



Brandi Felser is the CEO of the charity. This enabled SFA to grant Technoblade research grants. These efforts have left an imprint that will be passed on to the next generations.



Felser said that Technoblade will be recognized by the organization's Courage Award, an annual honor given to individuals who inspire others "to bring hope and a better life for the Sarcoma community" later this year.
