Purchase the Minecraft: Java Edition from minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition. Hanma's Blog It is crucial to not purchase any version other than the Java Edition. The Java Edition is required for the class framework to function.
Download your copy of Minecraft: Java Edition from minecraft.net/en-us/download. Minecraft is available for Windows, MacOS, Debian Linux and Arch Linux. (Side note: we are unable to assure full functionality of this modification on Arch Linux. If you are running Arch or another distribution Please contact your instructor via Discord or ELMS.)
Run the Minecraft: Java Edition launcher at least once. Ensure that you can log in using the account you created, thusly making sure that your purchase was successful. This will ensure that it creates the necessary program files that we need that our mod can interact with. This is a crucial step that you should not skip!
Download and run the recommended installer from files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.15.2.html. The button you're looking to click should look something like the following:
Make sure that the forge installer runs correctly and recognizes your Minecraft installation. Minecraft.
Open Minecraft and select 'forge' for your profile on the launcher screen. Wait for Minecraft to finish loading.
Open the Mods dialog on the game's home screen. Then, go to the mods screen and click Open Mods Folder.
Navigate to github.com/CMSC-389E/mod-framework-and-testing-framework/releases and download the latest version of the mod.
Save this mod file as is (it should be called something along the lines of circuitry-1.15.2-X.X.X.jar) and move it into the Mods folder you opened in the previous step.
Restart the game, and go to the 'mods' screen. Make sure that the CMSC389E Circuitry module has been installed.
