Bernhard Burgener In a report issued by the holding firm that he was a part of, he asked Degen to let him sell his stake in Basel Dream & Vision AG.
The shares of Burgener can be sold to minor shareholders through the Board of Directors under the provisions of a contractually formulated law. According to the Board of Directors, this so-called drag-along right takes precedence over Degen's pre-sale right.
Burgener has joined his side in the fight over the owners. Degen is seeking to use his right to first refusal to 16.4 million Francs. By a super-provisional injunction the former player has so that time, prevented Burgener from able to sell his 80 percent stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG. Centricus is which is a British asset manager, will also be able own part of this new entity. Burgener is still expected to have the majority vote.
According to the announcement from FC Basel Holding AG, Burgener and Degen are fast to seek an out-of-court settlement "in the interest of FCB".
