Thanasi Kokkinakis the home favorite, was the first winner of an ATP title of his career after he defeated Arthur Rinderknech, a fellow big-server in three sets at Saturday's Adelaide International final.
The Australian triumphed 6-7 (8/6), 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 in two hours and 38 minutes.

"I would not like to get my first title anyplace other than here... I've been practising on this court since I was nine years old," Kokkinakis said at the ceremony to award the prizes.
In great form Kokkinakis beat former US Open champion Marin Cilic in the semi-finals in three sets on Friday in an impressive start to what he hopes is a breakout season.
With the help of his fans Kokkinakis was able to win his first final in five years.

Kokkinakis had set the score at 6-5 after a deft move at the net drew raucous fans to their feet.
However, Rinderknech was not apprehensive to take the first set and his powerful serve was difficult to crack.
Kokkinakis also served well and won the tie break with a flurry of groundstrokes.
His momentum continued into the third set, capturing the first break of service in the match to secure a stranglehold.
Kokkinakis repeatedly smashed into Rinderknech's serve, ending his title streak. He fell to his knees in the midst of a raucous crowd.
In the first round of Australian Open, he will play Yannick Hanfmann who is an Australian Open qualifier. German qualifying player.
Rinderknech meets Alexei Popyrin from Australia in his debut.
