Xbox Live Crash Leaves Millions of Gamers Unable to Connect

Microsoft's online gaming service Xbox Live has suffered a major glitch that has left users inaccessible.

Many gamers have reported issues across the world when trying to sign up to the service that lets gamers play multiplayer games online in addition to purchase and download games.

The company stated that it was working on a solution to the issue, but could not confirm when it would return.

Many gamers have reported issues while trying to log in to the service that lets them play multiplayer online and also to download and purchase games.

It stated that engineers and developers are working to fix the problem that caused some members to experience difficulties signing in to Xbox Live.

"Keep on top of things and we thank you for your patience."

It comes just days after Microsoft launched an attack on YouTube and Amazon's Twitch by buying its own livestreaming service.

The company announced the issue in a series of tweets but said it was still 'investigating' the issue.

The Xbox maker announced its plans to purchase live-streaming service Beam founded in Seattle. Beam is a company founded by 18 year old Matt Salsamendi.

The teen who started his company in January claims it has already had 100,000 customers.

It allows users to influence and interact with the game streamed, unlike other streaming services.

Beam lets players suggest streamers challenges and even alter in-game elements like the weapon loadout or the quest selection.

The Xbox maker today announced its plans to buy live-streaming company Beam, a Seattle-based company created by 18-year-old Matt Salsamendi

Developers can also design buttons that allow viewers to interact with the games being streamed via Beam.

"We at Xbox are thrilled by this convergence between watching and playing and want players to have the freedom and choice of great multiplayer experiences across all Beam's platforms." Chad Gibson, a program manager of partner groups at Microsoft's Xbox Live division, said in an announcement.

"This acquisition will allow gamers to enjoy the games they love with the people they enjoy, and on the devices they prefer."

The terms of the deal were disclosed.

He revealed how the system might be integrated with Minecraft.

'Using 'Minecraft' as one example With Beam you don't just watch your favorite streamer play, you join in with them.

"You can test them and make real-time choices that affect their gameplay, including the choice of tools as well as quests, movements, and much more. All this is possible through simple visual controls."

Salsamendi says Beam will continue to operate as he and his team integrate into the Xbox engineering group.

Salsamendi in a blog entry posted on Beam's website, stated that Beam has grown to around 100,000 users since it was launched in January of this year.

He writes, "As part Xbox, we will be able scale faster than we have ever before."

"We are expanding our team, strengthening our infrastructure, and most important, we're continuing to grow and support Beam's amazing community.

THE XBOX ONE S

The Xbox One S will come in a color known as 'robot white'.

It will come with an internal power source unlike other Xbox models with external power packs.

However, the Xbox One S will also be 40% smaller than the previous model.

Microsoft claimed that the console will be able to play 4K Ultra HD video, and will be able to store up to 2TB of internal storage.

The new model will come with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and a wireless controller with a longer range.

Owners will be able customize their controller using Microsoft's Xbox design lab.
