The Morning After The Morning After Engadget

Bose is willing to create an entirely new style if existing wireless earbuds are not working for you. These wireless Sport Open Earbuds won't fit in your ear canal. They are placed over your ear canal which allows you to hear the audio and still be able to hear the sounds around you.

Although the design is awkward, Bose claims that they remain in place in any weather. They also boast clear, loud audio that you can hear without having to blast it out to everyone. I'll need to hear reviews from experts in the field before I can fully believe in the product. However, it's worth considering a headset that is more comfortable.

'Minecraft Earth' will close on June 30th

Microsoft's AR mobile game was released in the US in the year 2000.

Minecraft Earth players have until June 30th to play the augmented reality title before Microsoft shuts down its servers, and it's no longer available to download from marketplaces for apps. According to its developer Mojang Studios, "Minecraft Earth was designed around free movement and cooperative play and collaboration - two things that are becoming nearly impossible in the current global situation."

The studio is rolling out one last update , which it claims will include modifications "to make your time in Minecraft Earth as fun as possible." Alongside other changes that the update removes with real-money transactions and drastically reduces the time it will take players to create and construct things within the game.

Microsoft will delete player data from July 1st. The game, which was launched at WWDC 2019, will also be erased. Continue reading.

And SafeShutter equipped laptops for business use.

The CES 2021 rush is already getting underway. Dell rolled out devices built for some specific business needs. Its first 40-inch ultrawide monitor comes with a 5,120 x 2,160 resolution that can hold a 4K video while showing editing controls on the sides.

It also released a set monitors for video conferencing with 5MP cameras and noise-canceling microphones. Not to mention, the new Latitude 9000 laptops are the industry's first to have an "automatic shutter" which shuts down the camera when you're not using it. This is key if you'd like to use your laptop for Zoom calls as well as in areas where pictures aren't allowed. Continue reading.

Tile's next-gen tracker might make use of ultra-wideband technology

AR might be used to identify it. While we wait for dedicated tracker tags from Apple or Samsung, Tile is working to stay competitive. TechCrunch reports that the company is developing a tracker that uses ultra-wideband (UWB), instead of Bluetooth to help you locate lost objects. UWB has many advantages over Bluetooth. Its high-frequency waves transmit direction and spatial data which makes it more precise in locating tags and devices. UWB functionality is already present in the latest iPhones as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (and Galaxy Z Fold 2) models. Continue reading.

Verizon suspends 3G Shutdown Plans indefinitely

It will continue to operate the network alongside its 5G, 4G, and 5G networks. Verizon (owner of Engadget's parent company, Verizon Media) isn't shutting down its 3G network anytime soon. Kevin King, the carrier's spokesperson, told Light Reading that Verizon's "3G network is operational" and that the company isn't planning to shut it down. He added that Verizon will help customers transition to the latest technology and will "work with them."

Verizon has stopped activating 3G phones in 2018, since "virtually all traffic on [its] network is on its 4G LTE network," it said at the time. Neither King nor Verizon revealed the number of 3G devices still connected, but the figure could be significant if it decides to continue to operate the network in conjunction with 5G and 4G. meu blog Continue reading.
