Hackers Attack Anti-abortion uS Government Agencies In Kentucky, Arkansas

In protest to Roe v Wade being overturned by the Supreme Court, a group of hackers called SiegedSec are seeking US state agencies with antiabortion stances.



Eight gigabytes of data were stolen from the Kentucky state government. The state has banned abortion except for rare circumstances. Arkansas has banned it completely.



A Telegram message from the hacker group appears to contain documents that include information about property transactions as well as personally identifiable information for residents of those states.



The famous Roe V Wade decision that legalized abortion in America was rescinded by the Supreme Court on June 23. This led to a wave of protests and a variety of trigger-law bans at state levels.

SiegedSec's statement says"Like many others, we're pro-choice and shouldn't be denied the right to abortion.'



The article continues: "As we add pressure on the US government, we have leaked many internal documents and files from Kentucky's and Arkansas government servers.



"These docs have lots of employee Personal Information Information (personally identifiable Information) and many more."

The group said that "the attacks will continue", and added that: "Our main targets are any prolife organizations that are not government-owned, such as government servers of states that have antiabortion laws. Keep protesting, be secure, and f**k* the government.'



SiegedSec also promised its followers that it will continue to do blackhat work likely referring specifically to its more usual actions of targeting private companies.

Anti-abortion US state agencies are being targeted by a hacking organization. After Roe V. Wade was ruled out by the Supreme Court on June 24 Protesters against abortion rights were observed.



Dark web security service DarkOwl states that hackers have emerged due to the ongoing Russian war in Ukraine.



SiegedSec has compromised over 100 websites since its formation, DarkOwl states.



It also accessed a number of thousand LinkedIn profiles.



DarkOwl said that the group was as a relatively small-scale operation that has the potential to evolve into a significant cyber-attacks' prior the recent US state hacks.
