Manny, Destiny, Sid were walking ahead with Diego lingering in the back. "Hey DG you frozen back there?" Destiny called back to her best friend making Diego realize that he couldn't do this no more. He couldn't let Destiny get used by Soto. He loves Destiny and he can't let his only girl get used by Soto. "Get down!!" He said getting in front of them. "What?" The trio asked confused. "Get down and follow me" "Why DG what's wrong?" Destiny asked confused, scared, and worried. "At the bottom of Half Peek there is an ambush waiting for you. All of you" Destiny's eyes widen and start to brim with tears as Manny said "Wait a minute you set us up" "Even me??" Destiny asked tears threating to fall from her eyes. Diego sighed and nodded. Destiny couldn't believe this. Her best friend who promised to always protect her was gonna let her get killed. "I can't believe you!!!" She lashed out tears now falling from her eyes making Sid and Manny feel angry towards Diego and sorrow for her. "I trusted you. I thought you were my best friend. I can't believe I fell for the act" She said closing her eyes. "You thought I was a retard just like everyone else. That's why you lied to me" Sid's face fell sad as he couldn't believe that her family thought she was a retard too. "No that's not.." Diego started but then Manny pinned him against the rock wall. Destiny looks away from him as Sid hugs her. "Come on guys we can fight our way out" "You can't pack is too strong you have to trust me" Diego said looking at Destiny. "Trust you??? Why in the world should we trust you!!!" Manny rages out looking at Destiny then back to Diego. "Because I'm your only chance" Diego replies sadly still staring at his best friend. Destiny hasn't looked up and yet she knows he is right. Diego has spend more time with them then anyone and she knows he can get them out. She sighs and looks at Sid, showing that she says to trust him. Sid understands then catches Manny's eye. He nods at him and Manny lets him go. Diego explains the plan as the three of them listen but Destiny still feels sad that her best friend betrayed her. Diego and Destiny walk back to the pack as Manny and Sid go off. Destiny still looking down doesn't notice Diego staring at her with regret. He sighed and said "Destiny" She didn't respond. "Destiny" He said a bit louder. She still didn't respond. He licked her cheek making her snap out of her fantasy world and back into reality. "W-What?" She asked. "You know that's what I didn't mean" He said looking at her, locking his eyes with hers. "Didn't mean what?" She asked saracastically. He sighed and said "I wasn't even planning too. I couldn't do this to you. You're my best friend" He mumbled and I love you but she didn't hear it. She sighed and didn't know if she could forgive him or not. "I forgive you DG. It just made me worried and angry that you could have thought of me as a retard like everyone else." She said tears starting to brim her eyes again. She took in a shaky breath and said "I could never be mad at you. You're my best friend like you said best friends forever" She smiled at him as she nuzzled against him, making him nuzzle her back. Both of them were loving this moment. They stood there nuzzling each other, wishing to stay in this moment forever. Destiny broke away and said "Come on let's get this over with" She smiled as she walked a bit ahead from Diego. He sighed and said to himself. "I wish I could have the courage to tell you" He followed her as the two of them went back to the pack. The two came into sight as the pack went amazed. "Diego I was beginning to worry about you." Soto looks to see Destiny. He smirks and said "I see you brought her along" Diego doesn't respond but stiffens up as Soto gets super close to Destiny like SUPER close to her. Diego feels rage going through his body as he realize that Soto was close enough to kiss her. Destiny feels so digusted as it took her back to an evil memory when she was tied up with pirates and they were crowding her. The monkey creeped her out the most. Soto was just like the monkey. There was another saber too that hated her guts. Of course she never told anyone about it because she was a little cub when it happened and she forgot about it till now. Diego took the opportunity to tell Zeke to go after Sid and go maul him. Zeke and the others go after him then Soto breaks away from staring at Destiny then chasing after them. She sighs relief as she shakes her head reliving herself from the bad memory. She didn't notice Diego sneaking up next to her and licking her cheek. "You okay?" He asked. She nodded and said "Yeah just fine" She licked his cheek back and said "Thanks DG" He blushed but thanks to his fur it wasn't seen. "You're welcome. Now let's go get them" She nodded and the two of them went to Sid and Manny.

Destiny saw that Diego was in love with Shira so she just smiled sadly at them and then looked away. She lied down and sighed. "Desty?" She heard and knew it was Deigo. "Yeah DG?" She asked not turning around. "What are you doing?" "Nothing just thinking" "Desty you're wrong. I don't like Shira" She looked at him knowing what he was saying. "I know you are in love with--" "I'm in love with you" He said making her eyes widen. "W-What?" She said confused. He smiled and said "Desty. I always loved you. I never liked Shira not one bit. When I found out that they took you and hurted you, I was so mad and just wanted to keep you away from them. I love you Destiny and I always will" Destiny was about to speak when Diego kissed her. She felt so amazed yet happy as she closed her eyes and kissed back.
