Lovers of sandbox game Minecraft will be able to lose themselves in its world of vibrant graphics when Minecraft launches on the Oculus Rift.
Global Xbox and PC owners with the headset will be able get a free Windows 10 beta upgrade to allow them to enter the VR world.
The game is among the first big games to be released on the highly anticipated Facebook-owned Oculus Rift, which is scheduled for its European launch next month.

Writing on Xbox Wire, the game's AR/VR creator, Mike McGrath, said: 'For new and experienced players, we hope the VR experience in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta will demonstrate how powerful, evocative, and utterly immersive VR can be.'

The Rift version of Minecraft also includes a Minecraft "living room" where players can zoom out from the first-person perspective and go back through a screen to their own personal room. From there, they can continue playing the game on a display (pictured).

Mojang claims that this will include tweaks in the in-play turning. This makes it more comfortable for players and allows them to explore their VR world.
A blog post on Oculus Rift read: "Build, explore, and battle mobs with a fresh eyes.
"With a VR headset, coming face-to-face with massive mobs takes on a new meaning. The idea of slipping into dark caves creates greater trepidation thanks to 3D audio; and the light of a gorgeous sunrise seems to envelop you in a more complete.'
OCULUSRIFT RECEIVES A UK LAUNCH DATE
The Oculus RIft has been the most talked about technology for a while, beginning since the first developer kits sent out in 2012.
The latest news from the official press is that the kit will go on sale in the UK, Europe and Canada on the 20th of September, with a prices of PS549 or EUR699. It is already available in the US at a cost of $599
Some retailers are currently accepting orders for the headset including John Lewis, Amazon and Game The kit will come with platform game Lucky's Tale, along with hundreds of videos and VR films.
