The mobile version of Minecraft - also known as Minecraft: Pocket Edition - is being coded to allow for massive changes - literally. The developer Mojang announced on its website that its team is "restructuring the code to allow for significantly larger worlds to be created in future updates" and also tweaking creature AI and the inventory system.

Mojang also "pausing access" to Pocket Realms beta. This allows persistent worlds to be stored on servers that are private. Mojang has stated that the Realms team is currently working on the release of PC Realms. "Once it's done we'll be in a better place to focus on Pocket Realms, and make it as amazing as we can, which will be later in the year." The pause is scheduled to take effect on March 1.
