In a display of total ridiculousness, Turkey wants to ban Minecraft because its Family and Social Policies Ministry has deemed it to be too violent for kids. Minecraft servers Yes, a game in which you build fortresses and pound trees is being criticized for its content because in Survival Mode, you have to defend yourself from zombie-like Mobs and sometimes, that involves killing them. According to the region's Hurriyet Daily News reports, the Ministry also states that some children might confuse Minecraft's pixelated and pixelated landscapes with the real world, which could make them think that torturing animals was completely fine. Given the government's history of preventing access to sites like Twitter and YouTube however, it's unclear whether it will follow the same path as Mojang's baby.
