WoW has been in a state of change in China lately, with the9 having failed to get approval from the government to release Wrath of the Lich King, which in turn may or might not have led to Blizzard licensing the operation of WoW in China to Netease instead.
In the chaos it's been the players caught in the middle, with their availability in the air and unable to stop Kil'jaedan from killing them over and over and over while they wait for Northrend with eager anticipation. There are still a few players who have taken matters in their own hands. Stars of China decided to go to Taiwanese servers where Wrath was already released. They've settled into the Crystalpine Stinger server very nicely as they've defeated Mimiron on 25-man Hard Mode, making them only the second guild worldwide to have accomplished the task.
It's an amazing achievement on its own. But what can we learn about the future WoW in China? It's likely that not every Chinese player is going to be able to find the time and energy to switch to the Taiwanese server and upgrade their characters from scratch, but it appears like there are at least a few who are doing that. There's a possibility that a couple of players will even try World of Fight to find something new to do with Wrath.
Whether or not this Taiwan migration will have a huge impact on WoW in China remains to be seen, but for now it is certain that the Stars guild is certainly stellar. Congratulations to them!
