Minecraft and The Purge are separate for various good reasons. While the first sandbox game certainly allows for plenty of flexibility, it's still a game mostly for kids and so The Purge doesn't necessarily slot in. However, the internet can't be controlled. Therefore, someone came up with a video that combines both.
We're not saying that you shouldn't recreate The Purge in Minecraft. Everyone has their own method of enjoying the game. For instance, the person who is done mining the entire Minecraft map after five years, or the people who have recreated MS Paint using Redstone. Someone even built an PC which is modeled on the Nintendo Wii, which manages to run Minecraft in stunning 4K. It's a game that has something for every player. However, it's one of the most bizarre, albeit very entertaining, videos we've seen.
Forge Labs is a company which creates long-term challenges in games. They invited a few Minecrafters to get together for a week of building incredible homes and living their most enjoyable lives. After that week had ended, The Purge rules came into effect, which meant that anyone could do anything they want however, most of the time it was for crimes.
The latest video from them is little over two hours long which is a bit of a commitment however, it's somewhere in between being fascinating and shocking and a very honest glimpse of how humans could behave if everything went awry.

One of the most interesting features of this ruleset was the fact that players who died prior to the purge would lose one heart for all time. This meant that players could not upgrade their equipment without paying a price. It's a great timepiece and we highly recommend it for when you're working.
