The Event Theme was my Story

Tubecon is a global community-driven YouTube event that gathers YouTube creators and their audiences in arena-sized public events. The first Tubecon took place in August 2014 in Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with over 5,000 attendees. 1 Tubecon has been held 25 times across four countries (Finland Sweden Spain Switzerland and Switzerland) with more than 120,000 people attending each event. Tubecon has seen a significant increase in popularity over the years and so has the YouTube and online influencer community. Tubecon's biggest events attracted over 18,000 attendees and included more than 200 YouTubers or online influencers.



Tubecon's program for events was developed in collaboration with local online influencers. It includes multiple program elements like Meet & Greets and Tubecon Video Awards panels and concerts. Tubecon 2018 will take place in Finland, Sweden and Germany and letters of intent were signed in Romania, Latvia, and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The story of Tubecon began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to create an event that they and their viewers could meet each other in a fun and safe way. [4]



Performers[edit]



Kasmir Justimusfilms MadCraft TCT Robin Hartwall Arena's Minecraft version on the main stage.



2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12 and 13 August in 2016. The second day was sold out. The event was attended by 18,500 attendees. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began in Stockholm on the 6th of January, 2016. It attracted more than 4,500 people. They also held a tour in autumn which started on September 9 in Vasteras and ended on 10 Dec in Kungsbacka. Around 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities. More than 15,000 people visited Tubecon events in Sweden in 2016.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen on February 20, 2016. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also sold.



2017[edit]



Finnish event was organized in Hartwall Arena on 12-13 August with a total of 17,500 people attending. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain was held on 18 February in the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event saw about 4,000 people who attended and more than 200 Spanish creators who attended. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was organized for the first time at Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. The event attracted approximately 2,500 people. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held for the first time in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17 and 18 August. The theme for the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers attended the event. Tubecon hosted international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first ever Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were some of the international creators. The event also introduced a brand new TubeCity concept, where different categories, such as gaming, beauty and fashion, as well as food had their own blocks in the city-like event space. In a fresh initiative, Tubecon also introduced Tube Academy as an educational track for creators and anyone who wanted to know more about the process of making videos and the industry. [12]
