How to Create an Iron Golem in Minecraft and what they're For

Create a Minecraft Iron Golem to defend the village and its inhabitants from any threats. These imposing guards are the ideal force to shield structures and villagers from hostile mobs in Minecraft (opens in a new tab) such as zombies, Skeletons, and even raids from illagers. Contrary to the majority of mob in Minecraft Iron Golems can be created, but they also naturally appear in villages. If you've come across a village without protection that is an Minecraft Iron Golem, here's what you must know about creating them and how they function.

How do you make an Iron Golem from Minecraft

To create a Minecraft Iron Golem, you don't require a Crafting Table like you do to make most things in the game. Instead, you have to put blocks in a certain formation.

The components you require to make one Iron Golem are four Iron Blocks (each one made up of nine iron ingots on a Crafting Table), and one pumpkin. In Java Edition, it must be a carved pumpkin or a Jack O'Lantern, but in Bedrock Edition, it can also be a regular pumpkin. Put the Iron Blocks in the shape of a T and then place the Pumpkin on top and the middle, so that it appears like a bizarre iron scarecrow. Refer to the picture above!

As long as there are no connecting blocks on either side (other the floor it stood on, of course) Placing the Pumpkin last will trigger an Iron Golem to spawn. If you have the right materials you're able to do this repeatedly as often as you like to create your own personal army.

What is it that Iron Golems do in Minecraft

Be more secure by using Minecraft Netherite armor

Iron Golems have solemnly sworn that they will guard players and villagers provided you don't attack. They're considered neutral mobs so, unlike cattle, pigs and the like Iron Golems will not leave you alone but will attack you if you attack them.

An Iron Golem will slowly roam the town, patrolling it once it's established within a village. If it's not in an area, it will gradually move towards the closest one, and likely fight any hostile mobs in the process. If an Iron Golem takes damage, the player can heal it using an Iron Ingot on it.

Iron Golems can be an excellent choice if you have enough Iron and an entire village to protect. You aren't able to name them like you can with normal pets Unfortunately. You might want to know how to tame the fox in Minecraft if you'd like an animal companion.

I will write every "how-to" possible for any game. If I'm not writing guides for games, you can find me racing around the track in F1 and throwing balls in Pokemon Go, pretending I know what I'm doing with Football Manager, and clicking on heads in Valorant.
